Terms of Use

Acceptance

By accessing the Maxed website or downloading or using the Maxed iPhone app (together, "Maxed"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use Maxed. For the iPhone app, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies; where these terms and Apple's EULA overlap, Apple's EULA governs your license to use the app.

What Maxed does

Maxed rates a photo you submit on a set of cosmetic categories and suggests a glow-up routine based on the result. Scoring is generated by an AI vision model and is an automated, subjective estimate for entertainment purposes. It is not a medical, dermatological, or diagnostic assessment of any kind, and it does not evaluate your health, age, race, ethnicity, or any protected characteristic.

Face-photo permission and AI processing

Before the iPhone app sends a face photo off your device, Maxed presents a separate disclosure that identifies what is sent, names Cloudflare and Google Gemini as recipients, explains the requested uses and retention practices, and asks for your affirmative permission. Accepting these Terms alone is not permission to transfer face data. You may decline that permission, revoke it later, or delete locally stored face data as described in the Maxed iOS Privacy Policy.

Web accounts

You may create a web-only account to save numeric scan history, routine progress, and web subscription access. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Web accounts do not currently sync with the iPhone app. Contact [email protected] from the account email address to request account deletion.

Entertainment, not medical advice

Nothing in Maxed constitutes medical, dermatological, psychological, or health advice. Do not use the app's ratings or routine suggestions as a substitute for professional medical guidance, and consult a qualified professional for any health or wellness concern. You should approach every score as entertainment, not fact.

Age requirement

Maxed is rated 17+ on the App Store. By using the app, you confirm you meet the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction.

Purchases and subscriptions

Web: Maxed Pro is an auto-renewing subscription processed by Stripe. The selected price and billing period are shown before checkout and again on Stripe's checkout page. Your payment method is charged at confirmation and at the start of each renewal period until you cancel. You can cancel or update payment details from the “Manage subscription” link after unlocking a report; access continues through the paid period. If payment succeeds but a technical problem prevents access, contact [email protected] with your Stripe receipt.

iPhone app: Maxed offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Maxed Pro"). Prices and trial length are shown in the app before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your Apple Account settings.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. We cannot issue refunds directly; refund requests are made through Apple.

Acceptable use

Please use Maxed only for its intended, personal, cosmetic-entertainment purpose. Do not submit photos of anyone who has not consented to being scanned, attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the app or its backend, or use the results to harass, bully, or make consequential decisions about yourself or others.

Affiliate product links

The optional web Product Shelf may contain clearly marked paid links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Maxed may earn from qualifying purchases when an approved tracking tag is active. Products are optional, are not ordered by commission, and do not affect your score. Product prices, availability, and suitability can change; review the seller's information before purchasing.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Maxed is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that scores are accurate, consistent with any particular beauty standard, or free of error, and we do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any emotional distress arising from a score. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
